Why Learn With Someone Else?
- Group Tutoring allows you and a couple friends to learn with the same tutor together at the same time/session.
- Learning with a friend can make the material a lot less intimidating. And you can even show each other what you know to fill in some gaps.
- There is also a directory to find friends to learn with. You can find study buddies while saving money! Read about it below.
NOTE: The price is based on the number of tutees showing up to the session and is not determined at the time of registration. Therefore, for each session, expect to pay for just yourself, in case you end up with a private session.
Don't forget that all our proceeds go to charity :) Also, additional donations are always accepted.

The Steps
- Find your friends you want to be tutored with. See below for our directory which can help.
- Designate one person, the "representative" (normally you, the organizer) to register on Book your session.
- For forms (1.A), fill out availabilities for when everyone is available, and add just the representative's contact info.
- If you get a tutor reply, it will be sent to the representative only. The rep must reply to the tutor with the emails of everyone attending.
- Forward the tutor’s email to everyone as well. Ensure that everyone confirms the session time and place.
- Ensure that everyone is familiar with the tutoring steps outlined in Book your session, especially how to pay by e-transfer and how it is done immediately at the end of the session
- The day before your session, send an email reminder to every member in your group as well as the tutor.
- Keep everyone updated in case of emergencies, and the session will go on as long as the tutor and at least one of the tutees show up.
Group Tutoring Directory
- Not know anyone to learn with? Enter your name on the Group Tutoring Directory spreadsheet, and others will do the same.
- Also, check routinely to see who is available. Contact them to set up a way to contact a tutor. You too may be contacted.
- You can sign up for private sessions until you find a friend through the directory, which may take some time.
- Some classes, especially physics, have few tutors. Signing up for the directory increases your chances of finding a tutor.
- Group tutor requests may receive priority over regular sessions if tutors are ever limited
